Steering squeak Mk7

Postby Honey monster » Fri Dec 15, 2017 12:18 pm

Got a Mk7 fwd and it’s developed an irritating squeak when turning the steering. It’s not power steering related I think it’s some sort of rubber bush making the noise. Removed all the cowling and it’s still there. Any idea or how hard is it to fit the key barrel etc to a replacement colum.??
Cheers

You put the key in and turn the ignition to 1 or 2 I can't mind and push the pin in on the housing and the lock slides out. You don't need to remove the ignition as the lock part in the switch stays in when you remove the lock
