Thanks Guys
Thing I'm worried about is splitting disc off the hub and whether I need to remove track rod end bearings etc. A nice clear "how to do it" video would be reassuring. Take your point re Nipple method, sorry that word again, which I am considering cos it will get rid of some of the 10yr old brake fluid.

You need to pop the bottom ball out to get the driveshaft out of the hub
Then put it back and get the sledgie :P

Getting the disc off is fun. Needs pressing off, with the help of two chisels and a hammer.... or was that the rear ?
