Costs me more to keep it on the road than it would to tax a newer van but f*** it I'm still a winner
Oh yes, I had forgotten that early (van) adopters of Euro 4 were cheaper than the later ones
They did the same for early (van) Euro 5's, but Ford never got around to producing one until the following year when it was too late
I recently spotted a 56 plate mk7 euro 4 transit tourneo and dated to dream,it was for sale cheap and looked very tidy with low mileage. Until I checked the tax but it was stupid like 380 or something. Apparently buses don't seem to get the cheap tax thing.
All to prove that there's literally no logic involved and that the emissions are just an excuse that fits to suit what the baby politicians fancy.
When we're all self powered with solar panels and electric cars etc and not reliant on the grid, we'll get taxed for the equivalent tax evasion. When I'm 120 I'll report back here with a big 'HA!' you'll see
56 350 2.2 130ps mk7 with 2 side doors
65 290 2.2 125ps custom with 2 side doors
07 350 170ps
