Manufacturers emission limit will be listed on vehicles VIN label.
From 20th May2018.All diesel emissions will be tested against that limit.
EGR valve is part of emissions control.
EGR valve blanking plate fitted.....
Emissions control equipment fitted by manufacturer Missing, Obviously modified or Obviously defective - Major defect = MOT REFUSAL.
Remove blanking plate.

Yes EGR valves that have been removed or tampered will be a MAJOR defect & result in automatic MOT refusal.
I politely warned this Forum nearly 2 years ago of these impending changes for MOT rules. People are still saying it will never happen.
