transit sport

Postby Jay WBA » Sat Jan 13, 2018 11:44 pm

Hi all, I,m new on here & have a 2009 Transit Sport which has started to rust on the n/s cill by s/l/door.
I wanted to know how hard it is to remove the factory side skirts to sort out rust & get painted without damaging the skirts. Any help would be much appreciated.

You will have plastic clips and a couple of Phillips head screws holding the front piece and bottom lip of the skirts on, the top lip will be double sided sticky foam holding it on.

Probably undo the front cover and bottom clips then you'll gently lever the skirt upwards. Needless to say putting a knife or cheese wire in there will damage it :-(
