Transit heater setting

Postby squirrel93 » Mon Jan 15, 2018 12:18 am

I recently changed my mk6 dash to a mk7 , I have replace the compete dash using mk7 heater ducts , all the ducts are in place and seated correctly , I have changed the cable on the heater control for a longer one but this is on the temp side , my heater blows air threw forward facing vents and also on the feet but is very poor on the window now , literally nothing coming out the top of the dash tho sounds like loud like is pushing the air up but something is blocking it ? Is there flaps inside the dash that may be stuck shut ? , as far as I can see all the wiring and ducts are fine , what has changed ?

Our other mk7s work fine .. the hot air comes from the box then up the small S shapes duct where it connect to the last section on the dash then seems to stop? Almost like there’s a vent inside that’s shut?

That's why heated screen are so popular on mk7s
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small
