Hi,
I sometimes disconnect my starter battery if the van will be sitting still for a long time to protect against parasitic drain. Obviously the central locking doesn't work while the battery is disconnected, but I do still need to get in and out of the sliding and rear doors. On Ebat I've found a Mk6 lock set which actually has keyholes for the sliding and rear doors, which would presumably mean I can mechanically lock and unlock these doors while the battery is disconnected.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-Fo ... 1438.l2649
My question is, can these be fitted 'on top of' the central locking? Obviously my van wan't built with these keyholes so is it possible to fit them without faffing about with the central locking as well?
Also, does anyone know where in the Bristol area I could get these fitted? I've tried contacting a few auto locksmiths but they haven't got back to me, so I wanted to check it's even possible before chasing it up.
Thank in advance.
