Unbelievable....
I’m 40, business use, over 10 years of no claim bonus and I’m paying £800....

I can't used my full NCB (21 years) from my car as I still use it & NCB can only be used on 1 policy (which is the car).
Some other insurers will "Mirror" NCB for another policy - Which Budget did for my van policy.

£178 per year & that's full comp
Although they only use 5 years when working out discount. Of which was appox 65% last time I checked.
Premium has only dropped just over £10 in the last 3 years

Note regarding no claims bonus / discount. Insurance companies will not except proof of no claims from previous insurer if it's more than 2 years old :!:

PS Don't used Admiral - although they do allow a maximum of 15 years NCB - They only give a maximum discount of 40% with 9 years NCB

Mirrors that's what the post office did on sooty last year so now I've got 1 years ncd on sooty but need to insure the Chevrolet and you can't use a commercial no claims on a car apparently, but you can use a car on a commercial :?

I thought camper van insurance was supposed to be cheaper due to lack of miles. I'm limited to 5k with an overall valuation of 3£k finished, cant even drive it to work. seems a bit crap compared to unlimited mileage for work use. will suck it up for this year but def be hunting around next. the heat of the moment and all that ;) now I have seen this post...
