Postby howdeedoodee » Sat Jan 20, 2018 2:08 pm

Hi chaps

Just and quick one i need help on.
i cant get interior lights in back of van to work, (a pain during the dark winter days) i traced the wires and theres no DC voltage output on the pins on the passenger Fuseboard that has all those computer chips on,it says its called a VDO on the label.
Any ideas?

It is made by Siemens VDO

It is actually called either the Body Control Module (BCM or BCMII) or Central Junction Box (CJB).

Do your courtesy lights in the front work at all ?

If the front courtesy lights do not work then check fuse 72.

If the front courtesy lights work manually but not automatically then it could be a bcm fault.

All the interior lights when working automatically are powered and earthed through the bcm.

Which terminals have you looked for power on ?
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small
