servicing

Postby axam102 » Sun Jan 21, 2018 11:40 pm

Going to give the girl a oil, air and fuel filter change along with drive belts and tensioner. it's an 02 2.4 rwd 90ps. Do i need a fuel primer for the fuel filter change? or will the filing up with fuel and running at med revs be enough? have no rev counter mind. hooning around with dogs today and light came up with a fuel pump and splashes at the side and went out(guessing water in fuel warning) might not need changing but with no service history I may as well do the lot for peace of mind

Best to change fuel filter if history is unknown, could have been there for ten years and you wouldn't know.....Yep, just fill with fuel and fit, run for 30 seconds or so @~1500rpm-ish...she might cough and fart a bit but should clear easily enough.
