Unlocking slide door together with cab doors.

Postby larahoun » Tue Jan 23, 2018 10:49 pm

I have got a 2007 MK7 crewcab. The sliding sidedoor unlocks together with the back doors. This is a problem because i want the backdoors locked when the slide door is unlocked to acoomodate people getting in and out.

Is there some way to reprogram the sliding sidedoor so that it unlocks together with the cabine frontdoors?

Not that I've found so far.
But as it says not an exhaustive list considering different levels of BCM.
Have yet to check the options on a higher "c#" BCM.
Some e else may be able to confirm.

Is it a factory crewcab or has it just had seats bolted im the back?

hi, not sure if this is exactly the answer you are looking for,
I have the LWB van, 2010 model, when I unlock the sliding door if I dont touch the back doors they auto re lock after about 15 ?? seconds, even if I open the sliding door, if I want to open the back doors I have to go around and open the back door to stop it doing its auto re lock thing.
it is the same for the drivers cabin doors, they auto re lock after about 15 ?? seconds,
no idea if it can be changed,

There are a few locking options in IDS...but you need to plug it in to see them....as mentioned by one of the other chaps, there's also various levels of BCM which may have different locking options too...I've only got the poverty pack van, so not too many options available.

No, it is factory-ready crewcab. In holland there is a obligatory wall behind the cabin and in my case the double cabin. So my vanback is perfectly safe even when the side sliding door is open.

I'd reckon it'd be best to plug it in and download the current config to check options and current setting

As oldtimer mentions will it auto relock?
Auto flicking is an option you can change in the vehicle config.
Either find a friendly (tame) mech/tinkerer who can plug it in and check or get yourself the equipment to do it yourself.

Either a clone IDS setup or cheaper modified ELM327 and forscan
(I can't vouch personally for forscan and elm doing vehicle config mods but have been informed by a reliable source it can)

Good luck and hope you get it set the way you want.
