sliding door /cargo door handle mk7

Hi folks, i need your help , my handle broke and i can't get the door to open , i took the panel off, on the inside of the door their is a metal spring catch , i pushed it forward towards the cab and tried to open the door ..nothing it won't open so tried again this time 2 presses on the unlock button .. still nothing so tried again so with the metal catch pressed forward via a clamp i tried leaning on the door ..it almost opened but it set the alarm off , tried again with alarm off , still nothing it just will not open .
Just a thought here but this is a fridge van which i am trying to convert so i don't know if it's a stranded alarm or a cat 5... but i could do with your help

I am going to try disconnecting the battery and see if i can get the door open...i will let you know if that works ....or not

Hi Folks well i got the door open , without drilling it out , so here's how .
from the inside of the van , with the sliding door panel off , disconnect the battery , look to the right and you will see a small spring metal catch ( if you were to pull the handle on the outside of the van it would push this catch towards the cab ) so push the catch forward i used a clamp to keep the catch in position
next to the lock there is a hole about 3/4" slot a long large flat headed screwdriver into the hole and the lock and turn towards the cab it's only a 1/4 turn ,
next grab the handle on the sliding door and the door will open , well that's my fix , hope this helps anybody with the same problem as i have

or with the panel off grab one of the 2 levers on the door lock and thatll open the door

Hi Scas, I tried that, but due to the type of alarm system (anti tamper , anti something else) anyway every time i tried to open the door from the inside it double locked the Dammed door and i thought this was a typical ford lock only to find out later that this is not the case, but thanks for getting back
