Tourneo insurance

Hi

I'm looking to replace my 1997 vw t4 caravelle with a mk7 tourneo however I'm struggling to find a sensible price for insurance. The caravelle is insurable as a car for social domestic and pleasure however the tourneo is not insurable in the same way. Since I will not be using is commercially I can't afford comercial insurance.

Any recommendations ? One company told me they that if it was a 6 seater it would be cheaper but I'd rather keep it standard.

Sorry, not a reply here but a request for the same - any advice on getting a sensible quote for Tourneo 9 seat (8+1 driver) model very much appreciated. All companies so far are sky high prices for this 'minibus' Cheers David
