lowering handbrake for swivel base on transit 2009 swb

Hi All,
Has anyone lowered their hand brake to allow a driver side swivel base to turn, if so how easy / difficult is it to do

I did my mk6 remove the battery re drilled the holes lower down and used spacers to rebolt back on the battery box still had to have handbrake off to turn seat also done mk8 it’s easier as side of battery box is vertical
