various error codes

Postby Madtaff » Sun Feb 18, 2018 10:01 pm

hi guys more problems with my mk6. had the aa out yesterday to give my van a look over and before he plugged the computer in he said that my bottom end had gone due to loss of top power and noise from engine, but with no oil lights on and dip stick showing oil full he decided to look further and plugged pc into my van and this was the outcome

Engine control 2 - 38X / EEC5-EDC Common RailP1576 - Accelerator position sensor. Error Message : Position not reached.P1343 - Accelerator pedal position sensor 1. Error Message : Malfunction.P1344 - Accelerator pedal position sensor 1. Error Message : Malfunction.P0149 - Electric fuel pump. Error Message : Control time.P1564 - Injection pumps - control unit. Error Message

he recons the fuel pump could be the cause of this as it could be lack of fuel thats making the engine knock loudly?

anyone else had a simular problem and is it worth me getting all these fixed(not sure what its going to cost) or shall i just sell her on spares or repairs

Firstly before the crystal ball picture pops up in a reply can we confirm your van is a 2.0L 85ps TDDI?

Fuel pump timing solenoid can cause engine knock.

For parts try PF Jones. N

As above,
The dtc's 1564 and 0149,with a loss of power and bad diesel knock, suggest fuel pump timing solenoid.

If it's a TDDi...why did it come up with the above error code..??
