Mk7 transit 350 AWD, aux battery

Postby keeflester » Tue Feb 20, 2018 11:14 am

I need to replace the auxiliary (front) battery in my tranny as it’s not holding a charge for more than a couple of days, although it does charge up quite quickly when the engine is started. It has gone so low on three occasions that the radio has lost its holding voltage and required to be re-coded. Do I need a regular vehicle battery or is a deep cycle Leisure battery more appropriate? Any recommendations for a suitable battery replacement which will do the job without costing the Earth? Thanks in anticipation. K33F

I have just used Euro carparts batteries on mine, sometimes you can get lucky with a special online offer or an email discount code. Well worth going on their website and signing up for email newsletter if you can
