Intimitent lask of ignition lights

Postby VanmanSB » Tue Mar 06, 2018 2:27 pm

58 plate 2.5 TD SWB orange ex rac.

The past two days I've been turning the key and I don't get any response from the vehicle. Now and then a small click but sometimes nothing.

I'll try it for a couple minutes then all.of a sudden I get lights on the dash and the engine starts as normal.

What could I troubleshoot before taking it to a garage?

I've uploaded a video of what it's doing.
https://youtu.be/dJT9My3WlFM

After a minute I locked and unlocked the central locking and the ignition lights came on and the engine started.

Thanks

Try fitting a new ignition switch, (the part on the back of the barrell) it's a common failure point :)

Genuine ones are not expensive, and take minutes to fit :)
