07 plate st cutting out

Hi All
Got a 07 transit that starts fine runs fine then it will lose power,cut out and not ticker over when you restart it.
Take off the fuel cap van will start and run fine for a few mile and it starts all over again. Can anyone shed any light on it and were to start i.e where about is the tank breathers and anywhere to look.

What engine do you have..??

When was the fuel filter last changed..?? They don't have a "breather" as such, the fuel cap acts as a one-way breather...they also have an internal vent system between the filler hose to the top of the tank.

You'll need codes read...otherwise it becomes an expensive guessing game. Do you have any EML or COG lights..??

No lights at all but as soon as the cap is removed it runs ok so looking towards breathers but can't find anything about them lol

The cap "is" the breather.
