How to bleed air in cooling system

Postby halsen89 » Thu Mar 08, 2018 7:22 pm

Hello!

I have a 2004 transit connect with eberspracher diesel heater, i have changed the circulation pump because it didnt work..
When i changed it some coolant ran out, and caused air lock in the system i think, i could hear air/water sounds in the heat register when i turned on or stopped the heater..

I have tried to have the car running on around 3000rpm with the expansion cap off, for a good while, but it have the same amount of water in the expansion tank, i have tried to squese the tubes, but there seem to be no difference..

So i wonder if somebody here have a good idea what i can do to get rid of the air lock in the system?

Also, the car gets normal temperature when i rev it on 3000rpm, but when driving it gets a bit cold, because the diesel heater only starts for some seconds, and then stops, i think it must be because the air lock problem..

Hope somebody here know what to do? :)
