Mk7 Sport electrical problems

Postby mikeflg » Thu Sep 04, 2014 7:30 pm

Im new here so forgive me if ive made any errors

ive purchased a 2008 Transit Sport 140ps its done an 70,000 miles
i wanted to take it in to ford to have a service and the software updated and new keys programed as the fob didnt work
while it was in i had asked for them to look at the air con and reversing lights as they didnt work just thinking the latter would be the gearbox switch

anyways ive collected the van new keys coded but they cant get the fobs to work on the doors told me its a wiring fault
same with the air con and the reversing lights all wiring faults

is this spmething anyone has come across before after a quick nibble on the net im not sure if its going to be the bcm

any help greatly appreciated

It's ok here ;)

Is this a twin or single battery van?

Has AirCon been checked for correct pressure?
Have bulbs and fuses been checked for reverse lights?
Has switch been checked?

I think they havent tried very hard. Are the fobs new or old?

Think its a single battery
Its been regassed all relays and fuses have been check the switches have been checked and the bulbs
Did all that myself except for the gassing and then sent it into fords
And they couldnt get the key fob buttons to work on the 2 brand new fobs and the 3rd old one or fix any of the other faults

MK7 140 Sport 2008 Central Locking And RCM Issues

Postby mikeflg » Sat Mar 10, 2018 5:05 pm

Hi
I have a few issues but first off my van is a 2008 Mk7 140 Sport
Vin Number WF0XXXBDFX8B62163
I would like the correct part numbers for the ford towing wiring I need from the plug on the inner wing/chassis to a trailer socket

Next ive never had the central locking working from the buttons on the remote all doors lock from the key in the lock
ive purchased 2 brand new genuine keys and had them coded / no effect
a new receiver in the headlining / no effect
and today I fitted a replacement bcm and programmed it still no effect the codes I get are B109E 87 48
Does anyone have the wiring diagram related to the bcm and central locking and the wires to the receiver

and last I managed to make the common mistake of reprogramming my RCM
ive purchased one of the same part number off ebay and it put up the code B1935
i assumed it was faulty and purchased a second when I cleared the crash data out of that one it also has the fault code B1935
my original doesn't show this code just the ones relating to the error in programming passenger side pretensioner and mis config
am I missing something or does it look like the B1935 code is valid for my van

Thanks For any help

Keep it all in here mate because it makes it confusing if split.

What diagnostics are you using? What did you do to replace the bcm (steps) what part number is the rcm? Ad or ae?
56 350 2.2 130ps mk7 with 2 side doors 8)
65 290 2.2 125ps custom with 2 side doors 8)

I follwed van tuners you tube video for the bcm replacement then code the keys and myched the pats again
Im using a good ids clone and i think 100.4 software
And the rcm is an AE

Ok have you tried this
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=168536&hilit=Reconfigure+rcm

Have you programmed the bcm with your asbuilt?

You must install the bcm and initialize it and pats for keys and asbuilt with your vin.

That's a blind install I don't recall doing a new module installation inhales from the old 1 into the new 1 and also sends asbuilt across. Rule is generally we expect that to also send a fault across if the original module is faulty but then I'd expect a checksums error or failure to program although there are multiple levels of data so...... Meh Lol.

Anyway.
Did you do asbuilt? Can you confirm that the bcm config is correct?
That's before you try reprogramming the rcm etc.

I have seen corrosion on the large blue/red cable that is attached to the engine bay fuse box cause problems with CL

Also is rcl actually configured in the settings?

I used as built from motorcraft service with my vin number the bcm all programmed fine there isn't a problem with the bcm it just didn't fix the central locking issue I put my old one back in and went through all the process again both bcms 3 or 3 times there doesn't seem to be any issue with the bcm
the configs where correct every time I even used the backup as built that's stored in the clocks

I think it can only be a wiring issue now between the receiver in the roof lining and the bcm
the receiver is powered and lights the red led on button press but its as if no signal is sent to the bcm
so I need wiring diagram if anyone can help
