Overheating

I Have mk7 fwd 2.2 transit have had it a month when driving it overheats and goes into limp mode when I take my foot off the throttle the temperature drops the heater has no heat I have tried flushing the system and removed the thermostat problem is still the same hopefully someone has had and overcome this problem

Check your water pump is working.

The water pump drive splines are probably shot...fairly common on FWD's.

Are you sure that's what is wrong with it?? Have you removed the pump and inspected the drive splines??

Could/might be something else and you've bought a water pump for no reason..!! :?

If the heater dont work its 99% the pump, that goes for all vehicles.

Replaced the waterpump and the power assisted steering pump as all splines were snapped just put back together and the power steering is non existent and heavy can it be bled if so how all help appreciated

it bleeds itself when you turn the wheel side to side. some air will stay in but it should work after a few turns.

Tryed turning the steering but still not working and to top the day of because van was trolley jacked up van won't start guilty not going to the rail I feel like I am hitting my head against a brick wall some more advice please is welcome

Was the engine running when you were trying to bleed the PAS?. N

The van being on the trolley jack shouldn't have any affect on the fuel, is your battery good?. N

Batterie has now been jump started as would not start but batterie has been good up until today

I don't understand how changing the pas and water pump can stop the engine from running..!!?? :? You must have disturbed something else.
