2.4 TDDi injector seals

Postby rotory » Tue Mar 13, 2018 5:50 pm

Hi all,
I have removed the injectors and sent them away for testing. But I am struggling to locate the copper/steel seals in the recess. I have tried using mirror and torch, tried having a poke about with dental tools etc but damn if I can see any seals in the injector hole.
So does a 2004, 2.4 TDDi 125 Bhp RWD have seals on the injectors ?. This post is confusing viewtopic.php?f=5&t=170570

Regards
Martin

Yes they do. They'll be the same colour as the head maybe that's why you can't see them?

Is it possible that someone has been in there before and not refitted them?

Thank you all for your replies,
I have looked very carefully at the injectors and what looks like steel washers on the end seem to be part of the nut on the end. I was expecting a separate washer or are they part of the nut.
Thank you
Martin

Those steel washer are separate from the injectors but do get stuck on with oil/carbon and are fairly robust unlike the mk7 copper washers. N
