Where's the fuel coming from..?? The the leak back connector on the end of the PRV or where the PRV connects to the fuel rail??

They are pretty tight...I think the correct torque setting is "three white knuckles, plus 1/4 turn"..! ....Actually it's nipped up by had until snug...then 172Nm (127lb-ft) or until the valve body turns at least 3mm.

its leaking from where it screws into the injector rail, cant see it unless you rev it, the higher the revs the more it leaks, going to seal it with some gas tape temporarily until i can take the rail off and get it in a vice

Tape won't help.....there's the best part of 1600bar, (over 23,000psi) trying to get out of there. I'm thinking the thin sealing washer is not well.

+1 Tape will not work.

It is a parallel thread which you can not seal with tape.
To be pedantic tape can't really seal taper threads either, but it can act as a lubricant to help you tighten them enough for the threads to deform and seal.

The seat of the prv seals into the rail with a washer. If it's leaking along the thread then odd on the prv will be in bits when removed.

mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

Just tighten it up a bit more, the inside face of the prv pushes against the copper washer and then tight against the rail, the fuel spells never even reach the thread on the side of the prv. If it is genuine prv with thin copper washer then it'll be right so just needs nipping up.

It would have been done correctly in the fort place really :-(

The rail pressure reaches just under 1600 bar!.

Oh don't over tighten the end bit, remove that then tighten the main body of the prv with a breaker bar.
