Mk6 battery problems

Hi there, I bought a mk6 in september and when the cold westher started I had problems with my battery. I renewed my battery and glow plugs. Now my battery has died completley and needs a jump to start. Does anybody have any idea if its the altinator or starter? Possibly poor wiring? Any feedback would be appreciated before i throw more money at this. Cheers

You need to check the battery voltage. If you have a multimeter clip it to the battery, with the engine off it should read around 12.6v with the engine running it should be around 14.4v. If the voltage is low when the engine is running it means your alternator or wiring is damaged.

Check earth lead connection are good.
