Gear linkage problem rwd transit

Postby madmart132 » Tue Mar 20, 2018 3:38 pm

Hi hopefully someone can help , on way to Spain in my 2003 rwd van and suddenly the gear lever went floppy and I heard something fall from the van .
On inspection there is nothing attaching the gear lever to the gearbox , any idea of the part I need as stuck in 4th gear at the moment

I am south of Bordeaux was hoping to find a ford dealer in Bordeaux or scrap yard but no luck , and from what I have seen no ford transits either . Making my way to Spain where they are more helpful and I can speak the language and a bit better

I'm assuming you have the MT-75 5 speed box..??

Do you know exactly which part is lost..??

Yes mt75 mine is a petrol but same part I believe .
It is some kind of connecter between the gearstick and the gear selector shaft ?
Mine has fallen off hence my problem as I am not entirely sure what part I need and Bristol Street motors and Allen ford are totally useless

Hmmm...that part goes directly into the gear lever, if it fell out of the gear stick, one would assume it would still be within the boot... #11.
