Ring Gear MK6 2005 2.4 duratorque R/W drive

Hi.

Been having problems with what I thought was my starter motor, after the third starter I was told to check the ring gear and it is damaged on some teeth about a third was across.
don't know whats caused this because i had a new single flywheel complete fitted 18 months ago. Same starter went on.. maybe it was the same old started that caused this and don't have it now to check. Then fitting the new ones would't i suppose have any better affect if the ring gear is damaged. Is this the case???

If so I have tried TPUK and they havnt got one, does anyone know of another supplier.
