Mk7 Starting issues

Hi guys. My van is trying my patience.. Well it starts, it drives, no MIL, no errors, all fuses are good, but some times it doesn't start. It makes just 'tick' noise in engine bay - thats it. Yesterday after 5 times 'tick' it started. Batteries are fully charged, drop tested, alternator working good. What can cause this issue?

It looks like it wont start if i do short distance trip.

Should I replace starter motor? Or inspect something else?

Check all starter motor wiring connections are clean and tight

This issue is very annoying because you never know when you gonna hear that 'tick'. So decided not to risk and bought new starter, changing it right now. I'll see if its gonna happen again. If it's gonna happen at least it's not starter problem.

Changed starter motor. Van starts much better, like a new car. Felt in love again with my van
