MK6 Jumbo T350 125 Single or Dual mass flywheel?

Postby eggy » Thu Apr 12, 2018 2:21 pm

Just wondering if the mk6 jumbo (XLWB) has a single or dual mass flywheel factory fitted? Im off to look at one with the clutch slipping this weekend as a possible fixer upper, and the fella selling seems to think it's a single mass flywheel. Now this van is advertised with a very low mileage ~93k, would it be safe to assume it would still be the original clutch flywheel? Cheers.

it originally came with a dmf but its extremely unlikely that as its at least 12 years old that it has a dmf still

It's a 125, in a big old van. If the clutch is slipping it's 'cos it's ferked.

If it's got a DMF it's likely bollocks'd anyway, and you'd be daft not to replace it unless you know it's history and are happy it's got 100K+ life left in it.

If the seller reckons it's got a SMF fitted, you have to ask why the clutch is gone in what must be a relaively low mileage. And if so abused, what state is the rest of the driveline in.

I've got a low miles LUK DMF kit if interested.
