Power Train Light on after speed limit removal

Postby dymondaudio » Thu Apr 19, 2018 11:59 am

Hi All

I removed the speed limit on my MK7 2.4 using forscan and now my power train light is on.

Prior to removing the speed limit I had the EGR blanked and deleted some time ago, would removing the speed limit have overwritten the EGR delete from the ECU?

In addition the red immobiliser light flashed rapidly for quite some time, then moved to blinking approx 3 times every few seconds and has now stopped blinking. At one stage during this process the airbag light came on too but this has now gone out.

I've checked the DTC's and there is not one for the EGR but there is one for the powertrain:

Either the clutch switch wants looking at or if that isn't it then what about reinstating the limiter to see? Module config might need looking at.
You may have more than 1 limiter location and turning 1 of causes the mil.

In this instance if have my ids lugged in to confirm

OK, so I re-engaged to the speed limiter and that got rid of the powertrain light and stopped the DTC coming up, I guess that answers my question!
