Rear top light working on one aide

Postby VanmanSB » Thu Apr 19, 2018 8:42 pm

58 plate 2.5 TD SWB

Does anyone know what fuse / wires control this light? (See attach)

The nearside light works fine but the driver's side won't come on.

I've checked the earth, replaced the bulb and tested the offside unit on nearside loom to see if the bulb is working which it does with no problems.

I'm not sure which colour wire is controlling this. Is it the yellow/black?

I'm not sure what to check next.

No such animal as a 58 plate 2.5 I'm afraid....it'll be either a 2.2 or 2.4.

Have you checked "ALL" the fuses...in "ALL" the fuse boxes..?? There's 4 of 'em on a 58 plate.

Fuses F75 (right side) & F76 (left side) control the "Position/parking lights". I'd guess that if one of fuses is blown, the front & rear lamp should be out. If the fuse is ok, I'd be looking at the lamp holder for faults or the wiring loom right back to the main connection.
