It's very simple. I managed it on my 58 2.4 without any instructions what so ever. Just remove the steering column cowling and it should be obvious, it was a couple years ago when I did mine but I think it was just clipped in place and I used a small fat blade screw driver to get it out.
Yeah was easy in the end, I was looking at the wrong side of the cowl lol, turns out it was my home made flip key that had started to fail and now I've cocked the fob up on that one ffs, WHY OH WHY DOESNT ANY OF THE 3rd party makers make one for the mk7 keys it really pisses me off tbh that they don't it's no diff to making them for any other vehicle my navara was the same but I managed to make a good one from an almera flip key for that if I knew how and could afford to do it I'd make the bloody things...
