Stickers stuck

Postby elv » Tue May 08, 2018 8:54 am

Just picked up an ex-utility van with reflective red/yellow chevrons all over it. Anyone know the best way to remove them? I'm guessing a heat gun and/or WD40 but unless someone has some pearls of wisdom to an easier solution. Van is 2010 so they've been on for roughly 8yrs...

Found petrol was good at removing old stickers/glue on mine, then good cut and polish. ( that’s on 50 year old cellulose, can’t see where sticker were now even in sun), bit of heat for should peel easy, petrol on rag for glue.

Heat gun, take your time. Get it warm enough but not to hot and it will come off easy and won’t have any glue left on. Wear a glove I burnt my fingers when I heated it to much
