Brakes

Postby Hallii » Tue May 22, 2018 2:02 pm

I fitted some Padget pads to the front about 2 years back. I was never happy with the braking after that. They worked OK and passed the MOT no probs but pedal pressure seemed high and the "bite" was slow to come on.

I fitted Borg and Beck pads before my trip through France and Spain, what a difference! Nice powerful braking from the first touch of the pedal. Probably due to hardness and different materials, anyway, suits me.

I have no connection with Borg and Beck, just a happy customer.

3400 miles, 32 mpg, fully laden 3.5 tonnes.

Do you mean Pagid?

I recently fitted a full set of Pagid discs and pads, front and back, and have found them much better than whatever was fitted before. I don't know but perhaps it helps that pads and discs are from the same manufacturer. I would certainly use Pagid again without hesitation.

Just my opinion!

Your right it was Pagid, I was going from memory, not a good idea nowadays!

You might have a point there about discs, pads and compatibility. Maybe its the way I drive, maybe its something else, but for me, I found Borg and Beck better than Pagid. Your experience may vary as they say.

I fitted pagid to her qashqai, was not impressed.

Poor fit in the guides, and never felt very satisfied with the performance either.
More so under load.
