What are these parts called please?

Postby Vanman2 » Mon May 28, 2018 6:59 am

Does anyone know what the 2 Vacuum switches in the photos are called and their uses? Is there a hose vacuum hose plumbing diagram on here? 2001 Mark 6 VH 2.4 turbo diesel. Thanks

First one looks like the aircon cycling switch thing.

First photo - it is EGR Vacuum Control Valve, is operated by PWM signals from PCM . Nr 1100027 (YC1Q-9E882-AA) or 1127411 (YC1Q-9E882-BA). Usually applied in model tddi with Bosch pomp, in CR Delphi tdci was little bit different two valves (one for EGR, second for turbocompressor).
Look pic.1 and Pic.2.
In your van Vacuum Control Valve should have on the top third connection terminal for pipe from air filter - system need to suck clean air. It is broken - I think...

On second photo is shown part nr PBT-GF30 (look Pic.3) - it is Mass Air Flow Sensor, but it can be called Emission Control Sensor - on Pic.2 it can be nr 2 4449664 (YC15-9S428-AA). In this case I am not sure for 100%... :?

Thanks for your help - The Parts link is excellent - what makes the heater work - vacuum - via solenoid?

In 2,0 FWD with AC warm water valve (nr 10) is controlled by vacuum and vacum solenoid. Propably by PWM signal, but I'm not sure, because front heating has electric temperature control actuator.

Vans with rear compartment heating heater is controlled by electric water valve (nr 2 in second link) by PWM signal. On that I am sure, because actuator works only for change blowing direction.
