2 brake pistons cannot be pushed back together

Postby greet » Wed Jun 06, 2018 12:44 pm

Hello, I tried to push back the 2 brake pistons on the front left wheel. Separately I can push both pistons to the requested position for new pads , but when I push in one of both, the other is coming out. Both together doesn't succeed. Is there a trick? Thanks
(My brake disk was becoming very hot at the left side! This happened twice. On other periods everything was OK and I could brake as usual. I guess that while the pads were used (2mm left), some pieces of the sides of it teared off and blocked the disk partially?)
P.S. On the left wheel it succeeded! Is there a valve inside that could be blocked?

you may have a brake hose that is split inside and acting as a one way valve and not letting fluid go back to the master cylinder the fluid will always take the path or least resistance you need a new flexible pipe

Thanks for the tip. Is there a way to know before I replace? Shouldnt the flexible bulge then?

Not allways seen from outside your pistons are moving ok so expect calaper to be ok so most likely to be flex pipe

Slacken off the bleed valve and push both back together. If you push one at a time, the other will pop out, as its the least resistance to the pressure.
