Hi all,
Got a 2001 Mk6, 2.4 litre, TDDI which is suffering from a lack of fuel.
I'm not getting fuel to my injectors even with a manual priming pump and manually cranking it, It's as if the fuel can't get beyond the pump.
When manually turning the crank with a wrench and pumping with a manual priming pump I don't get any fuel to the injectors. I've tried pumping directly into the fuel pump inlet pipe and I know there's no air in the system because the pump bulb goes hard. As per Haynes manual, I've tried turning the crank 180 degrees, and in 5 degree increments, but at no point does fuel come out of the injectors like the manual says it should.
Strangely, when turning the engine with the key I get fuel to injector 1 only.
Any ideas?
Engine was running fine on idle but cutting out under load - fuel supply issue.
Changed the injectors but no difference.
Found the tank inlet on the fuel filter head was blocked so replaced the fuel filter head and fuel filter.
Using a manual priming pump I get fuel running fine from the tank, through the filter and to the pump but it doesn't seem to get any further.
Cheers,
Michael
