Day Lights & Reversing sensors

Postby F111ORY » Sat Jun 16, 2018 5:45 pm

I have just replaced my 08 plate swb transit with a 63 plate and amongst the few differences I have noticed the sidelights and dipped headlights are on all the time which I don't like. Is there a simple fix for this like removing a certain fuse or perhaps it can be programed out by a Ford garage?

Also this van has no reversing sensors, are the wires already in the loom for them and it's just a matter of drilling the bumper and fitting them or is it not possible?

Thanks In Advance

Lights should be a setting in the BCM that can be changed via ids (or something similar I think)

Reverse sensors depends on the spec of your van.
It may have the wiring, if it does it could just need the parking aid module and sensors but it could be a worst case scenario of needing the wiring, parking aid module, sensors & high spec BCM.
And in both cases it'll need activating in the BCM config.

You can pull a relay out of the fuse box to stop the dipped beam coming on (can’t remember which one tho), the side lights will still come on tho. That’s what I’ve done.
