Mileage display after tachograph removal

Postby The egg » Tue Jun 19, 2018 4:31 pm

Hi, I have a mk6 2.4 transit, it had a factory fitted tachograph that stopped working so I removed it. However the mileage was displayed on the tacho until it broke and not on the dash so I have now lost this. Can anyone advise what part or repair I need to have my mileage displayed on the dash as it would generally be? Thanks

You'll need someone with IDS or similar kit to do module programming to program the BCM.

Where abouts are you?

Hi. I've read on here on a tachograph removal post that the mk7 transit needs that doing but that the mk6 transit doesn't, it needs a jumper loom replacing, is that correct? Thank you

That's correct, there's a jumper plug in a grey connector near the passenger fuse box. if you dont have the plug you can join the correct two pairs of wires together and it will work OK.
