Well! I've done it! A couple of weeks ago I took the (faulty) seat belt out, and took pictures so that Iknew what I was looking for (s/h belt) and that fixed the fault, (must have been a dodgy connection at the plug) although I did'nt know the fault was fixed at that time.
Today I had the instrument pannel out and opened it up, lifted up the flexible clock face and found a lump of blutac in the led skt, poked it out, put it all back, now it all works as it should. I also noticed a bit of skrewed up paper, lodged in the disc pad wear warning light socket. The front pads are good and I've just renewed the rear pads, but the rear pad warning switch cable plug needs some attention, that'll do for another day.
