Getaway van it is not!

Postby 13S » Thu Jun 21, 2018 6:40 pm

Hi all
Here we go!
The van (in signature) has been acting up when trying to start over the last few days.when trying to start there is nothing apart from ‘Engine malfunction’and all dash lights and dial drop out party and the glow plug relay clicking like mad, now this will happen every time you try to start it after waiting 30 second for clicking to stop each time but if you wait 5 mins or so when radio display goes out and you here that shut down noise it will start perfectly and run fine.
This morning tho it done the bad start after been left all night.
No codes on crappy reader.
Rear battery newish
Front battery original (but does not struggle with half turn start)
So the van does work but not as a getaway van.

Any help appreciated
Paul

Problem to these symptoms solved with the renewal of the rear (starter) of the twin battery set up.
Thanks ladies and gentlemen for pointing me in the right direction .
The van is back as a getaway van, happy days!
