Mk7 2008 2.2 fwd starter motor

Postby INTRANSIT » Sat Jun 23, 2018 6:10 pm

The motor starts first time when engine is cold but when hot it can take half a dozen tries or more ,
it sometimes turns the engine over slowly, whirs or nothing at all been like it for a long while now and going to try a new starter motor.
anyone had one from herehttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Transit ... 1346585355
other sellers or recommendations would be appreciated, cheers

Hi took the old starter off today and the connection on the end of heavy lead from the alternator was rotten and broke in half,
can I just replace this piece with a cable of same size? and which bolt on the starter does it go to , took photos beforehand but there rubbish and in my rage  forgot which terminal it was on.
thanks for any help
