fitting front fogs

Postby onemanpeloton » Thu Jul 12, 2018 2:48 pm

Hi all

Is there any way of knowing whether my van has all the necessary fittings/wiring for front fog lights?

The bumper is blanked out (do these need to be cut out?) but has the mounts in the back. But I'm not sure where the wiring would be if it is present and whether my dashboard switch is suitable.

Van is an 06 t350 lwb rwd 2006 2.4

Normally all vehicles have the wiring looms as standard fitted would cost more to have different looms for different specs but you may find that you will need the relay fitted and the switch on the lights, if you see the multi plug under the bumper you should be fine

if this is a mk6 then you may or may not have the wiring, if you have electric everything with stuff like heated screen you probably do. connectors for the lamps will be cable tied to thr front of the chassis legs-out of 5 mk6 transits ive had-all with leccy windows mirrors etc only 1 had the full loom

thanks for the replies. I'll have a poke around behind the bumper for the wiring.

my van has heated windscreen and electric mirrors so fingers crossed!

There are two tipes of switches 1 where the front spots and rear fogs come on together and 1 that's a 2 stage switch with front only or front & back :D N

It is a Mk6, I didn't see the op's signature. I've removed my irrelevant post
