Egr removal.

Postby Steve192 » Fri Jul 13, 2018 6:45 pm

Hello,

Does anyone know the process to remove the egr valve from my van.

It’s a water cooled one. So does this cause problems with water coming out etc?

It’s a 2012 mk7 2.2 swb Euro 5 100bhp.

Cheers

You "Will" fail your next MOT...they're checking all vehicles for fit and function of all emissions gear now.
Plus your PCM will go into limp mode if the EGR isn't there....along with all the relevant fault codes etc..

Yes you will have either drain all or some of the coolant or clamp/plug the hoses that connect to the egr.
