MK7 Rear spring shackle

Postby Rabsy » Sun Jul 15, 2018 8:59 pm

Does anyone have the tightening torque settings for rear spring (especially the top bolt on the shackle)? I think i read on the forum that the front spring bolt is 225Nm and the rear bolt is 115Nm - I don't see any mention of the top shackle bolt at the rear?
My van is Mk7 year 2007 350 Lwb.
Thanks in advance!

I just put them tight as I can as it's a pivot

Mentions everything except the top shackle bolt at the rear - It must be the same as the lower shackle bolt (rear spring bolt)

Both bolts are the same size.
ETIS says both are the same torque at 115 Nm.
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small
