Fiamma F45 awning fitting to SWB Low Rook Mk7

Postby llekra » Mon Jul 16, 2018 11:43 am

Has anyone done this?

I can't find any brackets for a Mk7 Transit Low roof. There seem to be some for the high roof model but not the standard small van.

Anyone know where to find one?

Hell appreciated thanks

I've seen it done by installing roof bars, and bolting the awning to the bars
1994 Mk4 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (R.I.P.)
1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)
2008 Mk7 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.2 TDCi - Also Vantunered

There are lots of bracket options on their website.

https://www.fiamma.it/en/adapters-for-fiamma-f45-f70
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

I wanted to do same to my swb low roof, didn't want roof bars, so mocked one up from gutter height.
By the time you put a bit of slope on it from the van it's quite low, too low I thought, so I just bought a pop up gazebo which is same height as van.
2008 mk7 280 85 Crew cab - poverty spec
Replaced with......... a 300c estate

now sold, the judder did me ed' in
suppose my 350z and hayabusa will have to do for now
