Mk6 rattle

Postby Scooby doo » Thu Jul 19, 2018 6:27 am

I have noticed today that on the motorway once I hit 70 I get a weird vibration and the speedo moves either side by a few mph, once back round normal town driving she does the same rattle around the 3k rpm (don’t have rev counter)..
I’m thinking this is transmission related but I’m spose to be going on a 400 mile round trip this weekend and am worried somethings going to give up and want out the van...
Any help be grateful

A modified ELM-327 and Forscan willdo the job.

Port is under steering wheel behind the facia.

Forscan for Windoze is free to download.....iOS and Android there is a small charge....only the Windows version has full functionality whereas the other apps do not.....and even then you need the "Extended Licence" to do some functions.

https://www.forscan.org/download.html

If this is the case...Forscan or IDS won't help you.

Right my minds come of the clutch,
The rumble as it is is at specific rpm when you floor it and as soon as you change up gear it goes, always at certain rpm..hence my thinking of a mount...
