I’m pretty sure it said procedure aborted, It’s not letting whatever procedure it is finish because of the fluctuating rail pressure? I’ve checked the clear pipe and it looks fine, still the same fault code too p0089 fuel pressure

If it doesn't pass the learns, it will never run properly. Have you have the injectors checked..??...Leak-off test etc...??

Injectors were all tested professionally one was knackered and the other 3 were just a pass I was told so just got one new one, got them coded in and then thought that would be it sorted but the code is still there, so injectors been tested and one renewed, one newish second hand filter housing as their was large air bubbles in the fuel line and now down to smaller ones, and brand new ford scv and fpv but the sensor on the end of the rail is still the eBay one form tpuk :?

It definitely runs better since the valves were changed and it’s running alright just now as before it was always going into limp mode or not letting me rev properly, It judders at low revs every so often but I just want to get to the bottom of it :|

I would refit the original rail pressure sensor, from our experience they rarely fail.

Still no joy with this guys any ideas? :? Thinking of maybe borrowing a set of injectors and try them in to rule them out ?

Leak off test is a good indicator

65 290 2.2 125ps custom with 2 side doors 8)

Was about to suggest leakoff test, always a good test and least effort and cost.

BUT .... before that.

Have you changed fuel pressure SENSOR?
What sensor is in it now?
Genuine original?
EBay "genuine" replacement?
PFJones replacement?
OEM Ford replacement?

It doesn't matter how good the valves are if you've got a shitty pressure sensor the PCM still can't get accurate info to carry out the learns.

Thanks for the reply’s, the sensor is the eBay item but was told by the guy doing the coding and pump learn that if the sensor is faulty it usually shows on or off not fuel pressure irregular as in going up and down? Not sure if that’s true or not?

My moneys on a new sensor from PFJones (or ford) sorting your problem

Sensors can work but be inaccurate especially cheep ones the fuel pressure will fluctuate slightly as the system tries to regulate itself but a dodgy sensor may exaggerate any change in pressure.
