Found out today that it is the fuel pump that is going in my van an there is loads of bits of metal blocking my injectors that’s why the van wasn’t going to start got told will need to get my tank drained an cleand and the fuel rail as bits of metal will be in side them so gona cost me about 700 pounds all in i was shocked when he told me that and don’t know if wot he is telling me will need to get done an it’s a bit on the high side

Nah thats cheap, what's he doing about the injectors is the garage sending them for cleaning if so the price is about right, 450 for the pump plus 50 ish for injector cleaning and 200 for labour of fitting new pump and cleaned injectors plus fuel tank and system clean and new fuel filter, I have seen quotes of over 1200 for the job. Race ya   on a good day I can get 28psi of boost

See I was kind of right saying the injectors were stopping it starting, OK so the pump had filled them with sh*t stopping them opening, some might say its a lot of sovs to spend on an old van but what can you get for that money, nowt but rust and trouble. N

Looks nice and clean van you have there, 9 seater? How was it to insure?

When do you get your van back?

Boost and volt gauges are cheap and easy to fit  I started my van customisation about 4 years ago and still a long way off where I want it, doesn't help when things come up for sale on here that I think hmmm I like that  N
