Looks like it doesn't have access to the module :-(

What year van is it? If it is before 2013 try v86-v94 ids.

I don't like those ids things, I prefer vcm2 hq or you can spend 10 quid and get a modified elm327 then download forscan and register to activate it but that's free.

It'll do most things that ids will.

IG you say you've tried your vx on loads but no joy then I'd bin it personally :-(

Answered your pm.

Would probably take me 1.5 2 hours to sort that all out and install the pcm/bcm so trying to explain it and including the installation and use of ids would be paramount :-( the info is on this forum but sporadic at best unfortunately.

You can buy a modified elm327 with switch (eBay-under 20gbp)then online for software called forscan free. and get it registered.

That will read codes and configure the van for you.

You are jumping in the deep end with this project I think.

You may be trying to instal features that are not supported by your modules?

Eg. hill assist etc?

I bought one of those, with v106.2 running in a VMWare virtual machine. I found that, even though the laptop was within the recommended spec, it just wasn't up to it whilst running as a virtual machine. Of the three vans I tried it on it could only read the Car Configuration Parameters off one of them, but didn't always fail with the same error!

So I loaded a native v86.04 on the same laptop and the VCX Nano has worked faultlessly so far. My feeling is the laptop performance spec is critical: it seems to fail if there is any data underrun.

This is why many of us now run Forscan...much more user friendly and will run on any old piece of junk lappy.
