Fill fuel filter open all injectors turn it over until fuel squirting out of pipes , tighten pipes and it should start, if you have fuel at pipes and not starting it maybe a timing chain jumped problemAshleyWilliams wrote:Gents, I’m after some more advice,
Ok I’ve got myself a hand pump but only an 8mm one I’m assuming the correct size is 12mm. I’m guessing the hand bulb pump goes in before the filter? If so when I take it out won’t the fuel just drop back down to the tank again?

Is this the case even if my van hasn’t got a lift pump from the tank? Which I don’t think mine has?

None of the Mk6 or Mk7 diesels have a lift pump in the tank.
